Kitchen Supervisor


Job Description:
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and assisting the chef with executing events throughout the Spooky Nook Sports Complex. Kitchen Supervisor is also responsible for oversight of complex cooks to make sure standards of food preparation and cleanliness are met.
The pay rate for this position is $14.00/Hour
Essential Job Functions:
o Assist in preparing food for the specific program, sport, or showcase
o Interview and train new kitchen employees
o Assist with new department projects including the implementation of new services as they arise
o Assist in the scheduling of kitchen employees
o Communicate any dietary needs required to the kitchen staff about a certain group or event
o Assistance in employee attendance and performance documentation
o Read and communicate BEOs to the kitchen staff
o Ensure kitchen are is clean and closed properly at the end of the operating day
o Facilitate preparation of the food and beverage operation
o Keep all events on schedule to serve food at designated event times
o Assist the chef with insuring that the proper amount of food is prepared
o Assist the chef with training the cooks and keep food preparation to the highest level
o Assist with event requirements as needed
o All other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
o Must be 18 years of age or older
o Must have valid Driver's License
o Must have dependable transportation to and from work
o At least 2-3 years of experience in back of the house/kitchen role with direct supervision of employees
Preferred Qualifications:
o Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn and professional image in compliance with Spooky Nook Sports guidelines
o Ability to work with minimal supervision
o Capability to multi-task and manage multiple duties at once
o A positive and friendly attitude towards guest, customers, and fellow employees
o Must be able to communicate and follow directions both written and verbally
o Ability to remain calm in tense or stressful situations
o Ability to distinguish ingredients by taste, smell, or sight
o Must work well in a team environment
Working Conditions:
o Physical requirements necessary include walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting
o Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds independently
o Required to work evenings, weekends and holidays
o Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for a long period of time

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
