PRODUCTION MACHINIST II (D)

Job Overview

Summary:

A candidate should be able to perform all aspects of operating and most aspects of setting up various CNC machining equipment.

Available shifts:

4th shift Friday through Sunday 6am to 6pm

5th shift Friday through Sunday 6pm to 6am

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Setup and operate CNC machining equipment (Ex. of equipment: Mazak Lathe, Makino Milling machine)
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures
  • Work with team to trouble shoot setup, operation, and/or flow issues
  • Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
  • Communicate clearly in English (both verbal and written)
  • Meet documented and communicated standards for quality and productivity
  • Keep records of production quantities and time
  • Work safely with small hand tools, and measuring equipment
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Physical demands and abilities:

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for prolong periods of time

Qualifications:

  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U. S., or person admitted into the U. S. as a refugee. Minimum 5 years of related work experience preferable
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
  • Ability to work overtime
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

  • Experience with CMMs
  • Understanding of geometric tolerancing

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
